Essential
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the field of racial justice, community and stakeholder engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Demonstratable track record of successful strategic planning and project leadership
- Experience in engaging and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, external partners, and community groups
- An understanding of the continuing effects of historical racism on the life chances of Global Majority Heritage communities
- Experience in managing budgets (c£0.5m) and securing funding for initiatives
- Experience working with a faith-based or community organisation
- Awareness of current theological and political debates around racism and enslavement, reparatory justice, contested heritage and the concept of the proclamation of the kingdom of God
Desirable
- Familiarity with the Church of England, its historical position, including transatlantic chattel slavery and its current on future commitments to racial justice
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating the impact of social justice programmes
